Click Here to See My NaNoWriMo Plans

Here are my NaNoWriMo plans for this year in all their wondrous glory:

Nope.

*whistles nonchalantly*

What, you wanted more? Look, I’m not doing National Novel Writing Month this year. I probably won’t any year. It’s not my thing. It probably never will be. I’m not sorry.

That’s not to say that I have any problem with other people doing it. Whatever motivates you to write is probably cool unless it involves kicking cats or thievery.

The artificially intense word counts just don’t work for me.

I’m fine with word counts. I’m fantastic at keeping a regular writing schedule. I set goals and I follow through. Somebody should put me on a real deadline because I’d be fantastic at it.

*notices you looking at how regularly I DON’T post on this blog*

*shuffles uncomfortably*

Really, though. I keep a regular writing schedule and I make my word counts. NaNoWriMo is too much, though. It doesn’t work for me.

But I AM starting a novel… And I AM going to start writing it in the beginning of November.

I’m just not going to make 50k words by the end of the month.

Probably.

*narrows eyes at keyboard*

Instead, I’ll just give you one of my photographs. This is the Rochester sunrise I look at every morning after breakfast. It makes me happy, and it makes me want to write. Every time. I don’t need NaNoWriMo for motivation. I have beauty in my everyday life.

Rochester Sunrise that is not NaNoWriMo
